1. Sodium Monochloro Acetate (S.M.C.A)
SMCA, the MCA-based salt, is produced by mixing MCA with soda ash (Na2CO3) or caustic soda (NaOH).


2. Monochloroacetic Acid (M.C.A.)
MCA is made by reacting acetic acid with chlorine.
